Beautiful beach with ‘sparkling blue waters’ named ‘best in Europe’

A beautiful beach, known for its sparkling blue waters and dramatic orange cliffs, has been named the number one in Europe, according to Tripadvisor. 

Its Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best celebrates the highest level of excellence in holidaying, with awards given to the best reviews and opinions from users. 

Out of our eight million listings, fewer than one percent receive the accolade. 

The travel guidance platform has now revealed Europe’s number one best voted beach, according to its users. 

Praia da Falésia in the Algarve, Portugal has taken the top spot out of the list of 25 beaches.

Praia da Falésia is more than 6km long and stretches from Vilamoura all the way to Olhos de Água, near Albufeira. 

The large size of the beach makes it perfect for travellers looking to get away from the more crowded beaches in Algarve, which are smaller in size. 

The orange rocks contrasting with green pines and dark blue skies make this one of the most memorable areas in Portugal.

Travelers praise the beach for its beauty and diversity.
