When does Euro 2024 start? Date and kick-off time for first game in Germany

With the Premier League season done and dusted, the build-up to this summer’s Euros has begun in earnest.

24 of the best footballing nations in Europe will head to Germany hoping to be crowned champions and with all the groups now set, Paddy’s got all the information ahead of the opening game.

Defending champions Italy will have to perform at their best if they are to have any chance of retaining the trophy as they are in a tough group alongside Spain and Croatia.

France are fancied as the team to beat having narrowly missed out on the World Cup glory back in 2022, and you can never count out Germany, especially in front of a home crowd.

As always, the hosts kick things off and they will face Scotland in Munich on Friday, June 14 at 8pm.

The big question, though, is whether England can finally win major silverware for the first time since 1966 having come so close in recent years.

Gareth Southgate and his side will want to avoid a repeat of the heartbreak suffered in that traumatic Wembley final three years ago – and they have the stars to do it.

Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden are regarded as three of the best talents on the planet so England have to fancy their chances against any side they face.

You can find all the Euro 2024 odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise, here’s everything you need to know about the key dates for the rest of the tournament.

The group stage runs from Friday, June 14 to Wednesday, June 26 with the top two teams in each group joined by the three best third-placed teams in the knockouts, which are scheduled below.

June 30 – July 2: Round of 16
July 5-6: Quarter-Finals
July 9-10: Semi-Finals
July 14: Final
