Europe’s best station so impressive it has 8,000 ‘excellent’ TripAdvisor reviews

Amsterdam is a city with plenty to draw tourists from around the world. Gorgeous architecture, meandering canals, great nightlife and fantastic food; the Dutch capital has a lot to offer.

However, as if that wasn’t enough, now its train station has now been picked out as the best in Europe.

The station scores 4.5 out of five on Google, which really should come as no surprise. It’s Gothic and Renaissance characteristics juxtaposed with its modern finishes is a sight to behold.

Not only is it pretty, it’s a central hub for tourists and commuters due to its prime location in the middle of the city. What’s more it’s a Eurostar station, so can serve visitors from around the continent, including the UK.

The Dutch station beat off competition for the top train terminal in Europe from Liverpool Street, Victoria and Waterloo in London.

It also got the better of Torino Porta Nuova and Milano Centrale in Italy, Helsinki Central Station in Finland, Madrid Atocha in Spain, as well as Berlin Hauptbahnhof in Germany and fellow Dutch station Utrecht Centraal.

Tripadvisor users have raved about the station, so much so that there are more than 8,000 “excellent” reviews.
