ORLANDO, Fla. – Crispy Cones, a Czech Republic sweet treat spot is set to open in Orlando on April 5.

It will be located at 2415 Curry Ford Road, and the owner of this location, Ethan Potts, said he is excited to bring something new to Orlando.

“I’ve lived here almost 10 years, I love the food scene and the community,” Potts said in a statement.

This shop is unique as it will serve a crispy cone, which is a “fresh dough cone, grilled rotisserie-style and covered with cinnamon and sugar,” according to the brand’s website.

The cone can then be stuffed with ice cream, toppings and spreads such as Nutella or peanut butter.

Potts said he thinks the crispy cone will be the most popular item.

Crispy Cone is based out of Idaho and its founders Jeremy and Kaitlyn Carlson started expanding via franchising.

This expansion was in part after the duo was featured on the T.V. show Shark Tank. Crispy Cone inked a deal with Barbara Corcoran worth $1 million.

Seven months after this deal, Crispy Cone received franchise applications from all 50 states, according to Shark Tank.

Meanwhile, Potts is the sole franchise for Orange County, and he already has plans to open a second location at the end of this year.
