Paxton has come under fire again for his overseas trips and the cost to Texan taxpayers
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has been in the headlines a lot in recent times.
Last month, Paxton Ken agreed to apologize and pay $3.3 million to four former staffers who accused him of corruption in 2020. Paxton called the former staffers “rogue employees,” They sued Paxton under Texas’ whistleblower law. Texan taxpayers will fund the payout.
The report also notes Paxton visited Italy, the Caribbean, and Florida in June.
Total “security spending for June through August topped $127,000″, more than either the Texas Gov. Greg Abbott or Lt.Gov Dan Patrick.
Paxton finally appeared at his deposition after the November election when he had been reelected and almost six months after the first deposition request.
What do you think of Paxton’s extensive travel? Do you believe he should explain why he was traveling and unable to attend the deposition? Do you think Texan taxpayers should spend so more on his security? Are you concerned by the controversy that continues to surround the AG?
